What's Good This Season (1)
W E L C O M I N G // N O V E M B E R
Dear Reader,
What do you plan to do this November? I always feel a more inspired pressure during this time to finish my hopes, dreams and tasks of 2024 before the new year approaches at the speed of lightning.
Which, speaking of which, IT IS HAPPENING!!! It has been a long-time goal of mine to create a local directory that would serve as a beautiful, local resource. I hoped to build something that was easy to use for consumers, and would allow them to not just search geographically, but allow them to discover businesses by industry, offering and even by special-tags (like, for instance, finding family-owned businesses to shop at!) If you are a business and would like to be included in this directory ~ we are currently accepting applications NOW before our launch in early 2025.
I’ve been processing what it means to be able to be in a position to even try to create resources for the people in my community, along with the my own personal immigration journey and how I got to where I currently am. Stay updated with all the inner-workings of my brain in the new blog post here!
Thanks for being here & thanks for being What’s Good.

November sends that chilly, dark, ocean morning air right through the town, up your spine, and back out again into nature. I watch my breath now in the mornings create a cool, misty fog and rub my mittens together to make sure my lil’ fingers underneath are still feeling all the feels.
It’s times like these where a warm cup of soup, a hot shower, or a steamy baking session in the kitchen can really set your soul on fire. We finally have time for the warmth and comforts that winter brings, and the space and serenity to take a minute, take a breath, and take a moment to feel this season… before the rush of the holidays hit!
Vibes: deep royal purples, scarves n’ sweaters n’ socks, cardamom + cloves, preparation… because hard work pays off.

~ A Super Secret ~
From Sam’s Brain
One of my favourite spots to go to when my parents visit is Spinnakers. While close to downtown, this precious restaurant is a truly hidden gem. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner & drinks ~ they are one of my favourite spots to go with friends, family, or just a book in the fall. PS soup season is the real deal at this place & I highly recommend!!!
